Joseph Edmond Melton, age 78

Joseph Edmond Melton, age 78, of Ellenboro passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015.

Joe was a native of Rutherford County, a member of Corinth Baptist Church and owner of Spindale Seamless Guttering. He was preceded in death by his parents N. C. Melton and Ola Murry Melton and also a brother Chivous Melton.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Rachel Bridges Melton; sons, Bryan (Darlene) Melton and Lynn (Sherry) Melton of Forest City, Jeffrey (Tracie) Wray and Chris (Pamela) Wray of Boiling Springs; daughters Norma Kay (Clyde) Whiteside of Forest City, Sonja (Robert) Bradbury Jr. of Elleboro and Melinda (Randy) Stephens of Cliffside; brothers Norman, Bill and Jimmy Melton; 17 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Joseph Edmond Melton was held at Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Conner, Rev. Ad Hopper and Rev. Wayne Toney officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
