Joseph "Joe" Condrey, age 75

Joseph "Joe" Condrey, age 75, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away December 25, 2021.

He was the son of the late Bruce and Gloria Hess Condrey and he was a native of Rutherford County. Joe served in the US Army for 21 years and served his country well in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Army as a Master Sergeant. After his time in the military he went to Isothermal Community College and graduated with an associate degree.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one niece, Robin Brown.

Joe is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carol Condrey, daughter, Susan Angela Condrey, of Rutherfordton, son, Joseph Walter Condrey, Jr., and wife April, of Rutherfordton, brother, Bruce Wayne Condrey, and wife Ricki, of Sparta, TN, sister, Susan Condrey Radford and husband Chuck, of Union Mills, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two nephews and one niece.

The funeral service was held at McMahan's Funeral Home Chapel December 29, 2021 with Rev. Neil Perry officiating.
