Joseph "Joe" Hamrick, age 77

Joseph "Joe" Hamrick, age 77, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021.

Joe was born September 8, 1943 in Rutherford County to the late Dewey S. Hamrick and Louise Padgett Hamrick. He served his country in the US Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Joe worked for various companies, but mainly worked as a self-employed handyman. He enjoyed taking care of his pets, gardening and working with his hands. Joe was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jim, Burt and Britt Hamrick.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two daughters, Joy Lancaster of Rutherfordton and Cathy Hamrick of Marion; sister, Beulah Fite of Ellenboro; two granddaughters, a great-grandson, a host of nieces and nephews which includes a special nephew, Marty Hamrick.

The family received friends May 18, 2021 at Harrelson Funeral Home.
