Joseph Randy Newton, age 67

Joseph Randy Newton, age 67 of Forest City, died Saturday, August 20, 2022.

Randy was born December 2, 1954, in Cleveland County and is a son of Madge Hill Newton of Forest City and the late Joe Bud Newton.

He worked for Coca Cola Company for many years until retirement and then Underwood & Weld Trucking Company. He attended Grace Missionary Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Eitel Newton in 2013.

Survivors include his mother, Madge Hill Newton of Forest City, son, Casey Newton and wife Amy of Bostic, brother, Roger Newton and wife Portia of Rutherfordton, sister-in-law, Hope King-Jenkins of Forest City as well as seven grandchildren.

The funeral was held August 25 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Tony Rafield officiating.
