Joy Thompson Hoyle, age 64

Joy Thompson Hoyle, age 64 of Spindale, died November 25, 2021.

She was born January 8, 1957, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late James Howard Thompson and Mary Maggieleen Owens Thompson. Joy was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in Shelby but had recently been attending her home church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Rutherfordton. Joy was a graduate of R-S Central High School and she attended Isothermal Community College.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Hoyle and a son, Ricky Hoyle.

Survivors include her son, Travis Hoyle, daughter, Shannon Fowler, brother, James Arnold "Jimmy" Thompson, Rutherfordton, sister, Rose Mary Thompson Weathers of Forest City, sister-in -law, Patti Hopper of Forest City.

The funeral was held November 29, 2021, at The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. James Henson and Rev. Barry Goodman officiating.
