Joyce Rogers Bridges, age 84, of Forest City

Joyce Rogers Bridges, age 84, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Joyce was born November 4, 1941, in Rutherford County to the late Marcus Rogers and Hazel Gordon Rogers. She worked at Spindale Mills for more than 30 years and was a member of Chase Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Bridges; daughter, Sheila Ann Buff; brothers, David, Bruce, and Mike Rogers; sister, Sandra Graham; and great-granddaughter, Morgan Bristol.

Those left to honor her legacy include her daughters, Sherri Lynn Buff of Forest City, Angela Joy Buff of Forest City, and Toni Harrill (David) of Rutherfordton; son, Jeffrey Scott Buff of Bostic; grandchildren, Jamie Hill, Amy Roach, Brandon Tipton, Joshua Ledbetter, Tabitha Buff, Jeffrey Buff II, Jeremy Horton, Andrew Buff, and Stephen Buff; and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held May 27 at Henrietta First Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Butler officiating.
