Judy Gordon Cole, age 74

Judy Gordon Cole, age 74, of Rutherfordton, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022.

Judy was born September 10, 1948, in Rutherford County to the late Roland Gordon and Zella Vess Gordon. She was a graduate of Chase High School and Isothermal Community College. Judy worked as a cosmetologist and in textiles. She was the office manager for many years at Cleveland Memorial Park. Judy was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church (Sisk Memorial Missionary Methodist Church).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her lifelong companion, James McDaniel, brother Merlin Gordon and sister-in-law Beverly Gordon.

Left to cherish fond memories are her son Jason Cole (Melissa) of Landrum, SC, daughter Tracey Byars (Chuck) of Rutherfordton, brothers Glenn Gordon (Pat) of Greenville, SC, Troy Gordon (Carolyn) of Caroleen, Kenneth Gordon of Sandy Mush and sister Yvonne Lawson (Larry) of Bostic, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.

The funeral service was held October 28 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Frank Lewis officiating.
