Kathy Hutchins Bright, age 73

Kathy Hutchins Bright, age 73, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025.

Kathy was born February 22, 1951 in Rutherford County to the late Doc Hutchins and Lucille Scoggins Hutchins.

Her labor of love was being a wedding planner for many years. She enjoyed baking and decorating unique wedding cakes for each wedding and organizing the special occasion by providing everything from catering to floral arrangements. Kathy also enjoyed sewing for her family and making crafts to share with others. Kathy's faith was exhibited in her love for reading the Bible every day. She leaves a legacy as a dedicated Christian, mother, sister and friend.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Andy Bright (Lindsey) of Winston-Salem; siblings, Freida Cosgriff (Jim) of Dearborn, MI, Lance Hutchins, Steve Hutchins (Cheryl), Mark Hutchins (Myra) all of Forest City and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held February 11 at Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev, Terry White officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations requested to Yokefellow Service Center, 132 Blanton St., Spindale, NC 28160.
