Keith Jones, age 55

Keith Jones, age 55, of Rutherfordton, passed away September 6, 2021.

Keith was born April 16, 1966 in Rutherford County to Druary and Francis Jones who reside in Ellenboro. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1984. Keith faithfully served as the Assistant Fire Chief for the SDO Fire Department for many years. He worked as an equipment operator for Sisk Grading for 25 years. Keith was a past member of Grace Chapel of Forest City and presently a member of Father's Vineyard.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Keeter.

Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Rita Hoppes Jones; children, Renee Taft (Chuck) of Marshall, April Lynn (Jeff) of Forest City, Brookley Baker of Sevierville, TN and son, Clifton Baker of Bostic; siblings, Scott Jones of Ellenboro, Linda Kay Roland of Ellenboro and Mike Jones (Deanna) of Ellenboro, and 5 grandchildren.

The funeral was held September 11, 2021 at Father's Vineyard with Re. Terry Howell, Rev. Ricky Poteat and Rev. Jerry Ruppe officiating. Interment with Fire Fighter Honors was held at the Alexander Cemetery.
