Ken Philbeck, age 74

Ken Philbeck, age 74, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Ken was born November 19, 1948 in Cleveland County to the late John Philbeck and Carrie Tessneer Philbeck. He worked as a ceiling installer at Bradshaw-Hayes Construction Co. in Charlotte for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Philbeck Johns; granddaughter, Bethany Conrad; brothers, John Wayne, Billy, J.B. and John Philbeck; sisters, Kay Jones, Joyce Dover, Geraldine Terry and Patsy Moore.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 40 years, Shirley Philbeck; son, Benson Freeman (Amanda) of Bostic; two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In honor Ken's wishes, no formal services will be conducted.
