Kenneth M. Melton, age 79 of Ellenboro

Kenneth M. Melton, age 79 of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020.

Kenneth was born in Rutherford County on October 9, 1941 and was a son of the late George and Viola Ledford Melton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Frances M. Melton in 2016, his brother, Bobby Melton and his sister, Betty Brooks.

Survivors include his daughters, Sharon M. Hodge and husband Tommy, Skeet M. Hopper and husband Marty all of Ellenboro, a brother, Ron Melton and wife Becky of Rutherfordton, his sisters, Joyce Lowery and husband Joe of Caroleen, and Cindy Propst and husband David of Ellenboro; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at Corinth Baptist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
