Kevin Lee Schmersahl passed away Monday, June 29, 2026. Born February 21, 1951 in Baytown, TX to Jacob and Dorothy Schmersahl (deceased).

Left to cherish his memory Robin Schmersahl (Wife), Jacob Schmersahl (Kyla) - (Son), Amy Schmersahl (Daughter), Addison Schmersahl (Granddaughter), Jerry (Linda) - (Brother), Donald R Rusk (Father in law), Don Rusk (Ann) - (Brother in law), Joy Bennett (Don) - (Sister in law), many nieces and nephews.

Kevin was called to serve his country in 1969, where he proudly served in the U. S. Marine Corp. He retired from the Haywood County Sheriff's Department, then served with the International Police in Kosovo and Iraq.

A private funeral will be taking place, and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
