Kimberly Doreen Summey, age 59 of Ellenboro

Kimberly Doreen Summey, age 59 of Ellenboro died Sunday, June 28, 2026. Kim, as she was known to her family and friends, was born April 25, 1967, in Rutherford County and is the daughter of Dorothy Lavender Hendrix and the late Bobby J. Hendrix.

Kim worked in both banking and insurance. She was a member of Wilson Baptist Church and a graduate of East Rutherford High School. God and family were first in her life.

Survivors include her husband, Jeff Summey, her daughter, Ashley Cole of Ellenboro, her mother, Dorothy Lavender Hendrix of Bostic, and her sister, Sharon Gail Hendrix of Forest City.

A memorial service was held July 2 in The Padgett and King Chapel with Rev. Curtis McDaniel officiating.
