Kimberly Roy James, age 63, of Rutherfordton, NC, died September 2, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Dolphus Gerard Roy and Phyllis Keeping Smith Roy Bugden.

Kim was born on an Air Force base in Delaware and lived in Europe during her early years as an Air Force brat. She later spent her teen and early adult years in West Springfield, Massachusetts, marrying and having four children. She settled for the rest of her life in North Carolina.

Kim was an entrepreneur. She started a bookkeeping business, which she later sold to franchise a billiard league. After growing that franchise to one of the largest in the country, she sold it to retire to her custom dream home in Rutherfordton, North Carolina where she planned to live out the rest of her days in the quiet mountain countryside, spending hours on her tractor mowing her many acres with the love of her life, Andrew James.

She leaves behind children Scott Rossmeisl, Brian Rossmeisl, Dawn Reid and Dominque Yedro as well as 5 grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Kim's honor to any animal rescue organization, including the ASPCA www.aspca.org.
