Kirsten Nichole Teaster, age 27, of Rutherfordton

Kirsten Nichole Teaster, age 27, of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

Kirsten was born September 6, 1998 in Rutherford County to Angel Toney and Jon Teaster. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School. Kirsten worked several years as a CNA for nursing homes, most recently at Henderson Care in Forest City. Kirsten was a member of the Gilkey Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Kenneth Teaster, Willis Toney, Ruby and Roscoe Laughter, Frances and Roy Ledbetter; uncles, Jerry and Jeffrey Suttles and an aunt, Susie Lynch.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Angel Toney of Rutherfordton; father, Jon Teaster of Mooresboro; her children, Bayley and Bentlee Teaster; brothers, Andrew Fish (Sienna) and Dyllan Toney all of Rutherfordton; sisters, Aubree Roberts of Rutherfordton and Courtney Teaster of Raleigh; grandparents, Brenda Toney (Bobby) of Rutherfordton and Beth Teaster of Mooresboro; aunts and uncles, Tina Crabtree (Rickey) of Rutherfordton, Savannah Shires of Rutherfordton, Lisa and Randy Childers of Cliffside and Wayne Teaster of California and many cousins and great aunts.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm Saturday, June 6 at Gilkey Church of God with Rev. Don Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
