We are excited to announce a successful year of the L.E.A.P. (Leaders & Entrepreneurs for the Advancement & Promotion of Girls) Program. LEAP held its first meeting on Feb. 15th and has endured the COVID pandemic as everyone else has. We just wanted to take a quick moment and let our community know how excited we are about what our girls have accomplished. In February we began meetings at the Grahamtown Community Center, in March COVID hit and we were on ZOOM without hesitation. While on Zoom, we had great women leaders from Zinc (Mia Chapman & Bud) to get online on Saturdays and share with us their ideas on leadership. We continued to meet via ZOOM and when the doors opened we spread out and met with our mask on at the Grahamtown Community Center. We talked about branding, building, logos, and many other great topics. In the fall we were blessed to meet Stacey Bogart, who is building a camp in Ellenboro and we learned from another great entrepreneur as this woman leader demonstrated her skills at building. We came back from the outdoors and allowed our young leaders to start designing their very own logo and now we are ready to introduce our young entrepreneurs to you The girls are inspired and we are excited for you to meet them via ZOOM at our 1 year celebration on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021. We will go live on ZOOM at 1p.m.
