Landy N. Walker of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2025.

He was born in Rutherfordton, in 1948 to Worth and Estelle Walker of Gilkey, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sister Janet Walker Grissom (Bud) of Rutherfordton, two daughters, Sharon Marshall (Rodney), and Terri West (Reggie) both of Forest City, along with four granddaughters Vanna Reeves (Jarrod), Carson Marshall, Makaili Wood (Caleb), and Gretta Earnhardt (Austin) and one great granddaughter, Josie.

He served in Viet Nam in the US Marines. Following, he had a long career of over 30 years with BellSouth as an digital technician and had retired nearly 20 years prior to his death.

A service to honor his life was held October 1 at McMahan's Funeral Home.

McMahan's Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
