Lawrence Hodge, age 81

Lawrence Hodge, age 81, of Rutherfordton, passed away March 19, 2022.

Lawrence was born September 9, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late Esper Hodge and Katherine Laughter Hodge. He was a graduate of R-S Central High School. Lawrence was a gifted Master Carpenter and worked in construction most of his life. He was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Boyce and Dolphus Hodge and a stepdaughter, Vickey Pardo.

Left to cherish fond memories are his wife of 38 years, Gerelene S. Hodge; siblings, Rebecca Gibson (Aaron) of Seaford, Virginia and Tommy Hodge (Diane) of Rutherfordton; children, Eddie Hodge (Jessica) of Spindale, Debbie Gantwerk (Eric) of Tega Cay, SC, Scott Hodge (Meredith) of Cummings, Georgia and Pam Spurlin (Barry) of Mooresboro; stepson, Dean Redmon (Karen) of Leicester, fourteen grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be private for the family.
