LEE NEWTON TO PERFORM AT OWLS GAME JULY 4

We have a big week of baseball ahead and are looking forward to seeing everyone at McNair this week. This past weekend, the weather caused 2 cancellations, both in Spartanburg, so this weekend saw one Owls game and one Outlaws game. The Outlaws fell 3-2 to Spartanburgers, and the Owls also fell to Spartanburgers 14-2 on Saturday night. On Saturday night, the Owls hosted Cancer Awareness Night at McNair, and we are happy to report that we were successful in our fundraising efforts and will be making a donation to the Cancer Fund.

Owls had a double header in Martinsville on June 14! On June 15th, the Owls took on the Spartanburgers at McNair. On Thursday, June 17th the Owls are away vs. Asheboro. On Friday, June 18th the Outlaws take on the Spartanburgers at home while the Owls are at Thomasville. On Saturday, June 19th the Owls are home vs. Martinsville. Saturday, members of the Owls team will be spending time at the Cherry Festival where they will be handing out cherry Tootsie Pops, and meeting fans before the game! Be sure to stop by before heading over to the game!

The Owls also want to congratulate former and future Owls for making the College World Series. From Tennessee baseball is Jake Rucker, Redmond Walsh, Sean Hunley, and Kirby Connell. From NC State baseball is Canaan Silver. Congrats to all these players and good luck to their teams!

We are also so happy to share that Lee Newton will be performing at McNair after the game on July 4th before the fireworks! Lee is a Nashville recording artist, and a Forest City girl at heart, so we are thrilled to welcome her home with this concert.
