Lena Mae Hudgins, age 93, of Rutherfordton

Lena Mae Hudgins, age 93, of Rutherfordton, NC, went to be with the Lord Friday, June 5, 2026.

She was the daughter of the late Joe and Mary Arrowood Brown, and she was a native of Rutherford County. Lena was a member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church.

In addition to her parents Lena was preceded in death by one daughter, Denise Gosnell and one granddaughter Tabitha Hudgins. Lena was married to the late Rev. William Wesley Hudgins for 69 years who died in 2022.

Lena is survived by, five sons, Ronnie Wesley Hudgins and wife Jennie, Benny Joel Hudgins, William Terry Hudgins and wife Christie, Gary Dale Hudgins and wife Tracy, and William Wesley Hudgins Jr., one daughter, Debbie Marie Lowery, one sister, Hattie Edwards and two brothers Rev, Leon Brown and Arnold Brown. Seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and three great-grandkids that Wesley and Lena raised, Tyler Colt Morrow, Eric Dean Morrow, and Taylor Keith Lowery,

The funeral service was held June 7 at Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Rev. Chad Sisk, Rev. Leon Brown, and Rev. Buddy Campbell officiating.
