Leslie Alton "Pap" Searcy, age 90

Leslie Alton "Pap" Searcy, age 90 of Forest City died Monday, July 31, 2023.

Al was born June 10, 1933, in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Grace Searcy. He was a member of Florence Baptist Church and Forest City Masonic Lodge No. 381, AF&AM. For many years he was the owner and operator of Al's Auto Glass and Used Cars in Forest City.

He was preceded in death by his son, Malcom Searcy, and his wife of more than 70 years, Patsy Butler Searcy.

Survivors include his sons, Mike Searcy and wife Kay of Forest City, Danny Searcy and wife Crystal of Woodland Park, CO, and Rev. Dr. Nelson Searcy and wife Kelly of Boco Raton, FL as well as three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

The funeral was held August 4 in the Padgett and King Chapel with his son, Rev. Dr. Nelson Searcy officiating.
