Linda Arrowood Hamrick

Linda Arrowood Hamrick, a wife, mother, grandmother ("Grammy"), daughter, sister, and friend, passed away Monday, December 29, 2025.

Linda was a native of Rutherford County, NC, and a graduate of East Rutherford High School.

She was preceded in death by her father, Adam Arrowood; her stepfather, Tom Brown; and her stepsister, Beth Brown.

Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Gary Hamrick; her sons, Shane Hamrick (wife Julie), and Matt Hamrick; and her grandsons, Benjamin Hamrick, Nicholas Hamrick, and Zachary Hamrick, her mother, Betty Brown; her sister, Susan Cochran (husband Dennis); and her stepbrother, David Brown.

Linda worked in purchasing management and accounting before retiring from the Isothermal Planning and Development Commission after more than 20 years. Following retirement, she poured her heart into a passion project, founding Hamrick Group Tours.

Known for her kind heart and giving spirit, Linda volunteered as a reading tutor for young children, supported numerous charitable causes, and was a former member of the Pilot Club of Rutherford County. She lived her life quietly serving others, always with warmth and compassion.

The family received friends January 6 at The Padgett and King Mortuary.
