Linda Mode, age 75

Linda Mode, age 75, of Casar, NC, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015.

Born January 22, 1940 in Gaston County, NC, she was a daughter of the late J.K. Culbreth and Novella Usery Culbreth who resides in Dyersville, NC. She worked for Cleveland Mills and Milliken Mills for many years and for Homelite chain saw manufacturing. Linda was a member of the Morris Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to flea markets and working in her flower garden. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of sixty-years, Jerry Lee Mode; daughter, Melinda Cook and husband, Dennis of Mountain View, NC; son Jerry Lee Mode, Jr. of Casar; sister, Judy Korpal of Dyersville; brother, Kenny Culbreth and wife, Myra of Dallas, NC. She is also survived by two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Morris Memorial Baptist Church, 421 Moriah Church Road, Casar, NC with Reverend Chris Emory officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery of Fallston.
