Lois Morgan Hutchins, age 96 of Rutherfordton

Lois Morgan Hutchins, age 96 of Rutherfordton, NC, died October 26 in Dacula, Georgia.

She was born in Georgia in 1930 to Florence Melton Morgan and Morris Morgan. After her family returned to North Carolina, Lois attended Greenhill Elementary and R-S Central High School.

In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Earnest M. Hutchins, as well as her siblings Roy Morgan, Floyd Morgan, Ruby Wingo, Frances Ross and Elizabeth Randall.

She is survived by her daughters Janice Yermack (Tom), and Karen Williams (Ted), and her granddaughters Morgan Moore (Reed) and Kelsey Hathorn (Philip), four great grandchildren.

Lois worked at Belk stores in Rutherfordton and Forest City for over 20 years. She and Earnest were longtime members of Pisgah United Methodist Church.

A memorial service was held October 30 at Crowes Mortuary with Rev. Donald Morrison officiating.
