Louise Spicer Dedmon, age 83

Louise Spicer Dedmon, age 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, June 8, 2023.

Louise was born April 6, 1940 in Rutherford County to the late Gillie Washington Spicer and Hattie Lou Buff. She worked as a seamstress for several local companies for many years and was a member of Riverside Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Verge Dedmon; sisters, Irene Hall and Judy Tessnear; brothers, George, John, Abraham and Bobby Spicer.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Mary Elliott (Edward) of Bostic; son, Ray Dedmon (Cookie) of Rutherfordton; brother, Ronnie Spicer of Harris; sisters, Julie Lewis of Forest City and Janie Fleischer (Dale) of Youngstown, OH, five grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held June 13 at Riverside Baptist Church with Rev. Ted Blankenship officiating.
