Lula Hutchins Carver, age 89

Lula Hutchins Carver, age 89 of Rutherfordton, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019.

She was born on November 3, 1929 in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Benjamin Worth Hutchins and Lundy Lula Henson Hutchins.

Lula was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for her husband in his various businesses. As a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church, she enjoyed her Sunday School class as well as working with the Helping Hands organization in the church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover Keith Carver, and brothers, Birch Hutchins and Norman Hutchins.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Keith Carver of Rutherfordton, Steven Worth Carver and wife Debra of Spindale, Robert James Carver and wife Kathy, and Michael D. Carver and wife Sissy all of Rutherfordton. There are also fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service was held for the family at Mountain Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
