Marcella Page Greene of Shelby, NC, formerly of Forest City, died October 26, 2021.
She was born January 24, 1931, in Green Creek and was a daughter of the late James Herbert and Thelma Jones Page.
Marcella was a graduate of Green Creek High School. On December 14, 1946, Marcella married J. V. Greene. J. V. died in 1971. Marcella married Glenn Newton in 1977. Glenn died in 1996.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Coralie Page Gosey and husband Robert of Augusta, GA, brothers, Alvin Page of Waco, and James Page of Forest City, and brother-in-law, Yates Greene, and wife Fay of Spindale.
She was employed by PPG Industries and later at Burlington Industries. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Shelby.
Survivors include son, Michael Greene and spouse Phillip Greene of Forest City, daughters, Sheila Greene Morgan and husband Stewart of Shelby and Kathy Greene of Shelby, one grandson, one great-granddaughter, two great-great-granddaughters, brother, William Henry Page and wife Marlene of Green Creek, sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Page of Forest City and Nancy Page Smith of Ellenboro, brother-in-law, Kenneth Greene and wife Lynda of Green Creek.
The funeral was held November 1, 2021, in The Padgett and King Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Garin Hill officiating.
