Margaret Ann Roach Shelton of Rutherfordton age 77

Margaret Ann Roach Shelton of Rutherfordton age 77 went to be with the Lord Sunday, September 27, 2026.

Margaret was born July 15, 1949. She was a native of Rutherford County. Margaret was a graduate of Chase High School and she worked in the bridal industry for 25 years. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

She was the daughter of the late Newton Perry Roach SR, and Roxie Wilkie Roach.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Diane (Robbie)Lail of Forest City, sons Luther Neal Shelton III of Forest City, Willie (Liz) of Chesnee, SC, Ronald (Gena) of Spindale, and Perry (Kelly) Shelton of Golden Valley, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brother Leon (Linda) Roach of Forest City, and sister Janet Reid of Forest City, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Luther "Neal" Shelton and a daughter Lisa Ann Shelton, and brothers Bobby Glenn Roach, Perry Roach, Newton Perry" N.J" Roach Jr., James "Troy" Roach.

The funeral service was held September 30 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Roach and Pastor Jason Toney officiating.
