Margaret Biggerstaff Lail, 90, of Ellenboro, passed away April 11, 2013.  

Margaret was born August 1, 1922 to the late William P. and Mamie Jones Biggerstaff.  She was a graduate of Lattimore High School and Farahs Beauty College.  She worked and retired from Fiber Industries in Earl, NC and after her retirement worked part-time at Wal-Mart in Forest City, NC.  

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Charles Buck Lail; sister, Pattie Lee Biggerstaff Doty; Brother-in-Law, Manley Forbes, nephew Rev. Joe Forbes and great nephew Keith Forbes.  She is survived by her sister, Virginia B. Forbes of Ellenboro, Brother-in-Law, J T Doty, and numerous nephews and nieces.  

Margaret was a member of Campfield Memorial Baptist Church where she attended the Margaret Snell Sunday School Class where prior to her illness she held the position of Financial Secretary and assisted in the Children’s Department.  Her gifts of ministry included mission trips to New York, assisting with VBS, serving on the Bereavement Committee, visiting the homebound, and areas of church evangelism.   

Margaret loved her family, her church family and friends but most importantly her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as was exemplified by her life.  Funeral services were held at Campfield Memorial Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Huffman officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Campfield Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, Hospice of Rutherford or Cleveland County, or the American Cancer Society.  

McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral and Cremation Service is serving the family.
