Margaret Head Burgess

Margaret Head Burgess passed away Monday, September 5, 2022, at the age of 97.

Margaret was born February 3, 1925, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Henry Branscom and Irene Porter Head. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Margaret worked at Eagles, A.V. Wray and then Dalton-Ward until retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest "Smoky" Burgess, daughter, Donice Burgess Henke, and siblings, Lewis Head, Henry Head, David Head, and Susan Hance.

She is survived by son Larry Harold Burgess and wife Carolyn, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and others including nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held September 8 in Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Moneyham officiating.
