Margaret Holtzclaw Beam, 91

Margaret Holtzclaw Beam, 91, of Forest City, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015.

A native of Rutherford County, she was born on May 19, 1924, a daughter of the late A.H. and Lola Toms Holtzclaw. She was retired from Rutherford County Schools and was a member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wade C. Beam; two brothers, Henry Holtzclaw and Albert Holtzclaw. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Greene of Rutherfordton; one brother, Frank Holtzclaw of Cliffside; three sisters, Betty Phillips and husband Tommy, Hazel Bagwell, and Genell Henson, all of Forest City; her grandchildren, Sherri Finleyson of Spartanburg, Rhonda Greene, and Cathy Greene, both of Forest City; her great grandchildren, Carson Pritchard, Michael, Logan, and Lindsey Finleyson.

Funeral services were held at Floyd's Creek Baptist Church with The Rev. Robert Carnell and Rev. Shane Kirby officiating. Burial followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
