Maria Helena Botelho Braga died Wednesday September 27, 2023.
She was born August 4, 1938 in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
Ms. Braga worked as a high fashion seamstress in Brazil and Los Angeles, CA. She moved to Rutherfordton in 2015.
She is survived by her son Manuel Luiz Braga dos Santos and daughter Patricia dos Santos Hawkins and two grandchildren.
Ms. Braga is preceded in death by her oldest son Danilo Adolpho dos Santos Jr.
A funeral service was held October 7 at Crowe's Chapel.
