Mark Champion, age 50

Mark Champion, age 50, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.

Mark was born March 24, 1973 in Rutherford County to the late Steve Henry Champion, Sr. and Katie Greenlee Champion.

He worked as a service manager for Superior Plus Propane in Asheville for many years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Crystal Champion; daughter, Kaitlyn Champion; son, Kyle Mark Champion; sister, Maria Hudson (Grady) of Ellenboro; brothers, Jeff Champion of Cliffside and Steve Champion (Dannielle) of Ellenboro and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

The funeral was held July 22 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Philbeck, Rev. Greg Qualls and Rev. Randy Heffner officiating.
