Martha Aileen Hoyle Allen, age 99, of Forest City

Martha Aileen Hoyle Allen, age 99, of Forest City, NC passed away Saturday September 19, 2026.

Aileen was the widow of Vernon D. Allen and daughter of the late Charlie Roscoe and Susan Elizabeth Moore Hoyle and was preceded in death by a grandson Brandon Osborne, granddaughter Melissa Bailey and sister Melba Lowdermilk.

She was a member of Adaville Baptist Church where she was instrumental in forming the church library, starting a ladies Sunday School Class and was voted Woman of the Year. She was retired from Citizens Federal.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Gail A. Bailey, Joan A. Buchanan and Carol A. Miller (Tommy); grandchildren Greg Bailey, Chad Osborne, Ryan Miller and Natalie Miller, 15 great grandchildren and a number of great great grandchildren.

A celebration of Aileen's life was held September 23 at Adaville Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Pate officiating. Crowe's Mortuary is assisting the Allen family.
