Martha Cooper Bailey, age 78

Martha Cooper Bailey, age 78, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022.

Martha was born February 24, 1944 in Cleveland County to the late Claude and Maudie Cooper.

She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church. Martha worked for Sonoco Crellin Plastics Manufacturing for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Brooks and a grandson, Jared Brooks.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Ralph Ronald Bailey. His son, Chad Bailey (Laura) of Forest City; daughters, Sherri Bailey (J.D.) of Kansas, Connie Robbins (Terry) of Lake Bowen, SC and Leslie Bridges (Scott) of Shelby; sister Carole Humphries (Joe) of Beaver Dam in Shelby, thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held May 28 at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mack Tester officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations requested to Hospice of Cleveland County, 953 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
