Mary Frances Taylor Ruppe, age 89

Mary Frances Taylor Ruppe, age 89, of Henrietta, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019.

Mary was born May 10, 1930 in Chesnee, SC to the late William Misher Taylor and Mary Elizabeth Smith Taylor. She worked for Broyhill Furniture for many years before retirement and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed participating in various activities at the Rutherford County Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Ruppe, Sr.; four brothers, Willie, Grady and Clifton Taylor and three sisters, Vera Hayse, Estelle Fields and Eva Taylor.

Those left to cherish her memory include four sons, Cecil Ruppe (Jackie) of Marion, Bruce Ruppe (Pat) of Spindale, L.C. Ruppe, Jr. (Sandy) of Ellenboro and Mike Ruppe of Henrietta; five daughters, Rhonda R. Smith, Christine Smith (Delano) of Golden Valley, Vickie Potter (James) of Mooresboro, Rita Harris (Dale) of Mooresboro and Lynn Greene (Gary) of Forest City; one sister, Ruby Taylor Dukes of Ruth Community She is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Forest City. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
