Mary Gladys Sams celebrated her 107th birthday last Saturday at Fair Haven Home. Because of virus restrictions, the staff helped her celebrate and even helped her talk on the phone to family and well-wishers and provided celebration photos to her family.

Robert Conner, a grandson to Gladys, said, "My grandmother has been at Fair Haven about a year. The nursing, cleaning, cooking, and activity staff are all so loving and caring to her. They all go out of their way to be gentle handling her and take time out of their busy schedules just to love on her. I can't begin to tell you all the special little things they have done for her. The staff is so accommodating to her needs. The residents living there with her are wonderful also. They all look out for each other in different ways. I thank God for this place as it was an answer to prayers with the needs for my grandmother. She is so happy there with all the attention and love she gets. We also are blessed to get to go with our youth and children from Concord Baptist Church to Fair Haven the 3rd Sunday of each month to play bingo and fellowship with them. It is an uplifting time we get to share with them, for us and them."
