Mary Jo Weese Justice, age 84

Mary Jo Weese Justice, age 84 of Henrietta, died February 8, 2022.

She was born June 1, 1937, in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Rev. James C. Coffey and Carrie Elizabeth Short Coffey.

Mary Jo was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and graduated from Tri-High School. Mary Jo was a member of Chase Baptist Church. She worked for K-Mart Stores and retired with 20 years' service.

She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmie Norris Weese. At the time of his death in 1989, they had been married 34 years. She was also preceded by daughter, Sharon Weese Butler, son, Tony Mark Weese, son-in-law, Michael Keith Brumfield, and granddaughters, Holly Delon Butler and Karrie Nicole Butler.

Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Larry Justice, son, James "Nugi" Weese of Shelby, daughter, Kay Weese McKinney of Henrietta, step-son, Todd Justice and wife Cheryl of Charlotte, step-daughter, Pam Penninger of Charlotte, brother, Jimmy C. Coffey and wife Lorene of Forest City, son-in-law, Rev. Scott Butler of Forest City, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, also two aunts and a special niece and nephew.

The funeral was held February 13, 2022, at Chase Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Butler officiating.
