Max Evans, age 86

Max Evans, age 86, of Ellenboro, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020.

Max was born May 13, 1934 in Cleveland County to the late Elmer Gaston Evans and Beulah Estelle Church Evans.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Lorene "Rene" Evans; daughter, Bobbie Evans Neal; son, Kim Evans; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bill Church, Thurman Evans, Ralph Evans and Jr. Evans.

Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Wanda Grant (Alan) of Ellenboro, Rita Whiteside (Tim) of Ellenboro and Penny Floyd (Jeff) of Spartanburg, SC; two sons, Jimmy Evans (Lacy) and Tim Evans (Donna) all of Ellenboro and a brother, Charles Evans (Dawn) of Ellenboro. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was conducted at the Caroleen Congregational Holiness Church.
