Melissa Bridges Gettys, age 62

Melissa Bridges Gettys, age 62, of Ellenboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, March 19, 2023.

Melissa was born September 16, 1960 in Lakeland, FL to the late Ray Bridges and Jewel Hensley Lackey. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class and Gardner-Webb University. She was a member of the Full Throttle Biker Church. Melissa served as the church secretary for Campfield Memorial Baptist Church and Race Path Baptist Church for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Guy Lackey; an infant son, Ethan Michael Gettys and brother, Mike Bridges.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 40 years, Mike Gettys; daughter, Amy Murray (Adam); sons, Jason Gettys and Matthew Gettys all of Ellenboro; three grandchildren.

The funeral service was held March 22 at Full Throttle Biker Church.
