Michael "Dewitt" Ledbetter, age 70

Michael "Dewitt" Ledbetter, age 70, of Forest City, passed away April 11, 2020.

Michael was born April 11, 1950 in Rutherford County to the late Dewitt "Bud" Ledbetter and Betty Kennedy Ledbetter. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army, 9^th Infantry Division.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Thurman and Lou Kennedy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of almost fifty-years, Elizabeth "Lib" Ledbetter; daughter, Christy Cooper of Spindale and son, Michael Ledbetter of Forest City; sister, Debra Greene (Harold) of Forest City; three brothers, Doug Ledbetter of Bostic, Scott Ledbetter (Brenda) of Forest City and Todd Ledbetter (Ginger) of Forest City; three grandsons, and a great-granddaughter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A private service to honor Michael's life was conducted. Military honors were presented by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Burial followed in Alexander Cemetery.
