Michael E. Henson, age 66

Michael E. Henson, age 66, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, August 2, 2018.

Born November 26, 1951 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Max Henson and Dot Reynolds Henson. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1970 and served in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Michael worked in construction as a welder most of his life and loved riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Lawson and Edna Reynolds and Roland and Minnie Henson. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-four years, Deborah Quinn Henson; one son, Shiloh Michael Henson and wife, Jennifer of Rutherfordton. A granddaughter also survives him.

The funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Rev Bob Philbeck officiated. Interment followed in Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
