Michael Garland "Mike" Hutchins, age 64

Michael Garland "Mike" Hutchins, age 64 of Ellenboro, went to his eternal home Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

Mike was born on January 23, 1959, in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Garland Hutchins and Lucille Hudson Hutchins.

Mike was a graduate of R-S Central High School. He was known as a hard worker and went directly into the workforce following graduation. He worked in the automotive industry in Rutherford County for over 45 years, including Joe Waters Honda, Charles Watkins Automotive, and then over the last 20 years at Moore's Auto Sales.

Mike was a member of Florence Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sheila Glover Hutchins; his daughters Haley Hutchins Blalock and husband Ian of Ellenboro, and Emily Hutchins Shytle and husband Kamron of Ellenboro; brothers Ronald Hutchins and wife Pam, and Donald Hutchins and wife Melanie; three grandsons, and one soon to be granddaughter.

The funeral was held November 5 at Florence Baptist Church. The Revs. Daniel Selman and Tonya Garrison officiated.
