Michael Gilbert "Woody" Wood, age 57

Michael Gilbert "Woody" Wood, age 57, of Nashville, TN, passed away, August 12, 2018.

A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of Ernest E. Wood, Jr. and the late Peggy L. Padgett; he was a self employed siding contractor and framer, a veteran having served in the US Army, and was a volunteer for Operation Stand Down Tennessee.

Survivors include three sisters, Melinda Curtis and husband Steven of Dover, TN, Sammie Jo Shepherd and husband Tim of Asheville, NC, and Melissa Vaughn of Tampa, FL. There are several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held in The Padgett & King Chapel. Rev. Dr. Garin Hill officiated. Interment followed in the Eternal Hills Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
