Michael Wayne Toney, age 68

Michael Wayne Toney, age 68 of Bostic passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2020.

Born August 18, 1952 in Rutherford County, he was the son of Nellie Mae Thomas Toney of Bostic and the late Grady Martin Toney. He was veteran of the United States Army.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wanda Self Toney; two daughters, Lissa Toney Queen and husband, Reverend Ben Wilson "Tripp' Queen III, and Misty Toney Whitaker, all of Bostic; a sister, Sherri Toney Yelton and husband, Michael of Bostic; his 3 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Robert Timothy "Timmy" Whitaker.

Funeral services were held privately for the family at The Padgett and King Chapel.

Interment with Military Honors conducted by Rutherford County Honor Guard followed in the First Broad Baptist Church Cemetery in Golden Valley.
