Mildred Naomi Crawford Bowlin, 88, passed away in Sparks, Nevada December 7, 2022.
She was born January 27, 1934 in Rutherfordton.
Mildred, her husband Raymond and infant daughter Norma traveled across the country from North Carolina to Nevada in 1953 for a short adventure which lasted 69 years in Nevada.
Mildred retired after 25 years from the KMart distribution center in Sparks.
She was preceded in death by husband Raymond; parents Rev. R.L. Crawford and Lucretia (Maude) Crawford; sisters Helen Crawford, Inez Crawford and Irene Gordon; brothers Ray Crawford, Rev. Donald Crawford and Dr. Larry Crawford.
She is survived by daughters Norma George (Bob) of Idaho, Wanda Cockayne of Sparks, Nevada; son Gary Bowlin of Sparks; two grandsons; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren and several other family members in Nevada and Idaho.
Mildred is also survived by one brother Jim (Bunny) Crawford of China Grove and sister Jolene (Hal) Guffey of Rutherfordton and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held December 22 at 1pm at Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, Nevada.
