Mission Hospital McDowell recently celebrated the opening of its newest family medicine and multi-specialty practice in Forest City. The event was open to the public and allowed the community to tour the facility and ask questions to better understand the services that Mission Health has launched in Forest City.

Mission Health Center - Rutherford first opened its doors to patients in early January with family medicine services. The facility has plans to bring new and highly specialized providers in the coming months, including women's services and imaging.

Mission Hospial McDowell's CEO Marsha Myers told those attending "we are so glad to part a part of this" and said the center has space to grow.

The Center includes nine exam rooms, an imaging room, an X-ray department and employs about 10 staff members including a Nurse Practitioner and a Physician Practitioner.

Mission Health continues to invest in communities with a need for additional healthcare services in Western North Carolina. These investments give local access to expert patient care, and also expand local employment opportunities.
