MLK Day of Service is January 19

A litter sweep and garden work day called MLK Day of Service is planned for Monday, January 19 beginning at 10am at the Rutherford Outdoor Coalition (ROC) Office. The litter sweep will be along the Thermal Belt Rail Trail and the garden work will be at the pollinator garden near the trail.

Trash bags, gloves, visibility vests, grabbers, and all gardening gear will be provided. Snacks, drinks, and free Greatest American Cleanup t-shirt will be available to all participants.

This event is part of the Greatest American Cleanup in collaboration with Keep Rutherford County Beautiful and Keep North Carolina Beautiful.

The ROC office is located at 115 North Oak Street in Spindale.
