Monty Dobbins, age 57

Monty Dobbins, age 57, of Hildebran, NC passed away January 25, 2022.

Monty was born November 5, 1964 in Rutherford County to the late Pete Dobbins and Donna Owens Dobbins. He was a graduate of Chase High School, and worked as an electrical engineer for Aqua Fil/O'Mara Industries. Monty was a dedicated member of the Hickory Masonic Lodge #343 and the Forest City Masonic Lodge #381 where he was a 33rd Degree Mason. He was also a member of the Catawba County Shrine Club.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Kimberly Parker and Cheryl Cabiness.

Left to cherish fond memories are his son, Monty Tyler Dobbins (Dawn) of Scottsdale, Arizona; daughters, Amanda Britt Martin (Bryan) of Conover, and Chasity Dobbins Carswell (Lance) of Hickory; a special friend, Jamie Medlin of Hickory; sisters, Wanda McCraw (Ricky) and Ronda White (Rodney) all of Gaffney, SC, seven grandchildren.

The funeral was held February 1, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Hubert Street officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations requested to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris Rd, Greenville, SC 29605.
