Mozell S. Tate, age 76, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2019.
Mozell was born June 5, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Roy and Eliza Swink. She owned and operated a rug manufacturing business for many years and was a member of Henrietta First Baptist Church. Mozell loved going on camping trips with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Tate; two sisters, Dorothy Randall and Cora Lee Hutchins and two brothers, Ernest Swink and Durham Swink.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Deborah Taylor of Forest City; three sisters, Helen Shires of Forest City, Libby Blackburn of Shelby, and Marthel Matheny of Forest City and two brothers, Donald Swink (Janice) of Harris and Dean Swink of Ellenboro. Two grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive her.
A funeral service was conducted at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery.
